Stacy Keyboard

I recently read a blog that caught my interest. A rare feat because I think everything has been said and done and is just regurgitated over and over. However, this one is different.

In essence, the writer had to change his password at work every month. It’s hard enough to remember passwords for each place you need one, but this system required a capital letter, lowercase letters, numbers and a symbol that could not be the same as one you’ve used. Ugh. He came up with a brilliant solution. Create a positive message in your password that not only will you remember, but since you have to type it often, it can become a mantra.

His first password, Forgive@h3r, helped him get past his painful divorce. Once he realized the great power of this mantra/password, his life changed. I’m doing just the same. I won’t tell you my passwords but I’ve lost 5 more lbs since I started. Having to type in something positive or a behavior changing password on a regular basis is much like posting affirmations on your mirror, but you don’t look past them after a while.

Try it yourself and let me know what you think.
